All right, I must admit I am excited! Google Chrome! Now, I am a true MacAddict, but I have a new ACER Aspire 7720 17" Laptop running Vista. It is good for entrepreneurs to have multiple platforms... allowing you to have greater exposure to technology and to what people are using.
While most of my work is done using by Intel Mac Mini, I like to handle email, and other functions on the Acer. The problem has been that #1 Vista is a cumbersome OS and #2 lately Internet Explorer has been giving me lots of problems, not loading sites, not running Yahoo Mail well, etc.
So it is with great relief and perfect timing that Google has created a Browser so I can finally dump Internet Explorer.
Of course, I am assuming that the Google Browser will be a good product, based on their history, it is easy to assume. If you haven't seen the comic-based instruction manual on how different the browser is go to http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/index.html
It is extremely instructional and quite an innovative approach to web browsers. Some might say this is revenge on behalf of Netscape which was destroyed by Micrsoft. We'll see how well this catches on.
In the mean time, I acxiously await my chance to download the browser. As of this writing, it is available, but there are no links to download the file, and any effort to search for it, returns one back to the Google home page.
If you've found it, let me know.
